A Cold Steel knife is a Ventura, California-based marketer of knives, swords and other edged weapons. Cold Steel was founded in 1980 by company president, Lynn C. Thompson. Its products are manufactured in various countries including Japan, Taiwan, China and India.
Cold Steel’s products include fixed blade knives, folding knives, swords, machetes, tomahawks, kukris, blowguns, walking sticks, and other martial arts related items. Just about any type of knife or sword you can think of. If they don’t have it they will make it. Trust me I know I have ask them and they were happy to, that’s why cold steel knives are number one to a lot of oweners.
Any true knife maker or collector knows a cold steel knife there a certain roman guard fill for them. I know when I received my first cold steel I thought what is this industrial looking knife and why does it have this image. Mine had a safety feature on there that was kind of tricky to learn how to use at first but after a while I had it figured out. I have a custom hunting knife from cold steel and I am hoping to get a chance to carve something this next season with it. My momma told me son don’t ever play with guns then I shot a man in Reno just to watch him die. At that point I realized I better stick to collecting knives. Guns are fun but they can get you into a ton of trouble if you’re a little on the crazy side like my self. If there one thing in life I realized is that I need to watch my temper. Collecting knives is a way for me to be passive aggressive. I would rather clean one of my knives and admire its beauty instead of going out and getting into a fight, and I could not say that when I was younger.

I wanted to talk a little bit about all the different kinds of Knives that are out there. This is a site about Butterfly Knives but its also a site that Knife enthusiast would like and if your like me you have quite the selection to look at and play with. When you think about it there are 100 of different styles of knives, anywhere from a Bowie Knives, Pocket Knife, Switch Blade, Throwing Knives, Hunting Knives, you name it they have made it. Some of my favorite Knives are mead-evil, now you talk about some crazy design, I am not sure what some of these guys are on when they make them but man they are cool. I use to love to carry my Bowie Knife around with me were ever I went, now it would kind of freak people out when they would see this huge Knife hanging from my side and I would walk into a store or something, kind of funny in a way. I had a buddy at work who made hand made Knives and I ask him to make one special for me, and I wanted him to use this peace of Iron wood that I found out in Phoenix, man when he got done with that and he told me it was going to be $300.00 I did not even blink an eye, that was one of the finest Knives I have ever seen.
Hunting Knives are cool, I have never been much of a hunter but I plan to do some next year with some of the guys from work, and I am excited because I actually get to use one of my hunting knives that I have had for over 15 years now. It’s the little things in life that seem to get me excited and when you have a passion like I do for Knives it’s easy to get excited when I am talk about them. I found a cool old picture of a Benchmade Butterfly Knife.
I like how it looks so simple but yet so beautiful. A Butterfly Knife is very fun to use once you know how to do it properly. On the other hand I have a couple of Switch Blades but never have been a huge fan of them. I have three in my collection but they seem to carry a bad rap with them, and get look at as a gang thing and that really disappoints me, because they gentle men who created it would not want to be associated with that. Please take time to look threw what I have to say and if you fill like taking a look at some of my other Knives site here they are.
