What defines cool butterfly knives, well I guess that’s up to who you’re asking. Cool butterfly knives are all cool to me; I like the cheap ones just as much as the expensive ones. Sometimes I like the cheap ones better, one because you don’t have to be as careful with them like you do with one that cost $2000.00, and you don’t fill bad when you drop it on the ground while trying to show off. I became a collector when I was a kid so all knives were cool to me; it did not matter if it was a hunting knife, or a throwing knife, or even a standard Buck knife. I just thought all knives were really cool and interesting to play with. If you’re a gun collector you know what I mean when I say I can sit there and stare at the design and the beauty of the knife just like gun collectors do with there’s. I think people get into collecting because they can find peace and enjoyment in the beauty of what they really like. Look at a train collector and those elaborate train towns they build. That’s a lot of work and time and money, yet they do it because they love it.
Cool butterfly knives are cool to who ever thinks they are. I am not for these guys who think their better than other at the gun shows. You go by the guys booths and they just seem like snobs, and they are superior to everyone else there. I really have a hard time being around. When what you’re into becomes a choir or politics get into it, then it just is not fun anymore. I have a son know and it’s my hopes and dreams to get him into collection just like me, and he would pass it on to his son. My step father was the one who got me into it, and I have had a lot of joy out of it, and I would like to pass that same joy onto my son. If you’re considering taking up knife collection go around to some of the trade shows, and gun shows you will learn a lot and also meet a really great bunch of people. I have met some of my best friends at these events, and know I have someone else to share it with, till my son gets a little older.
