There are only so many Butterfly knives tricks you can do. When I first started using my butterfly knife it took me a few days just to learn to open and close it correctly. Once I felt a little confident with that I started to try and show off a bit, which turned out to be a bad idea. I ended up throwing it across the room and put some holes in my bed and also a few other things that made my mother a little pissed off, but o-well it was fun. Once I started to get the hand a little better that’s when I really started to get good, and wanted to show off to my friends and family.
You can find a lot of youtube videos showing you how to do tricks with your butterfly knife, I would recommend that you practice, and also have someone show you how to do it correctly, no sense in getting hurt or hurting someone else.
I get a kick out of this guy in the video doing his butterfly knives tricks, and what’s up with the whole mask thing. I think he thinks he’s some type of ninja or something. Anyhow it’s fun to watch and I have to admit he is really good at it.
Keep an eye out on my site, I plan to make my own video, and show off a few of the tricks I have been working on. One involves me doing my tricks and also throwing the butterfly knife, and while it’s flipping I am able to time the latch coming around and catch it, and continue on. So like I said keep an eye out for that, I am waiting till I have it perfected. If you don’t see it after awhile that just means I miss the catch, and I know have a knife stuck threw my hand, but it’s all good.
So I wanted to update everyone on my progress with trying to learn my new trick, let’s just say I think I should have kept my mouth shut. I was practicing the trick I told you guys about, where I throw my butterfly knife up in the air while performing my tricks, and as the handle comes back around I would catch it, and continue doing my tricks. All was going well and it felt like I had the timing down pretty good, and hardly would drop the knife. Well I was in my room the other night practicing like each night, and well my daughter came running in while I was in the middle of it, and yelled daddy mom wants you down stairs, and needless to say I look at her right in the middle (big mistake) and the butterfly knife went right threw my hand. Know keep in mind I am not using a cheap butterfly knife, I have one of my top of the line knives during this practice session so you know it’s extremely sharp. After 25 stitches it looks like it’s going to be a while before I can get back into practicing, but don’t you worry I will keep it up, and will make that video, for the mean time you will just have to live with ninja boy video.
