>

So what’s a butterfly knifes well if you look it up in the dictionary you will see that its spelled wrong, its actually spelled butterfly knives. For the purpose of anyone who may be reading this I will explain what a butterfly knifes is. The commend word in the old day’s was Bailsong also know as the butterfly knife. It’s an old ancient Philippines word that dates back to the early AD area. It’s not known for sure who the actual creator of the Bailsong, or Butterfly Knife but we do know it was you in ancient times as a weapon, and also for hunting purposes. Butterfly knifes would be consider more than one if you really wanted to get down to brass tack ticks. Butterfly knifes were used as a hunting tool but found out that it was not the most practical knife to use for such a task. Most hunting knives are fixed bladed knives, and can stand up to the harsh conditions that their put threw. Butterfly knifes are more unique in their design and how they operate. One down fall is that they have moving parts, and if you ever been a mechanic or an engineer you no when you have moving parts something bound to fail. With a butterfly knifes you want to make sure you using them correctly, and also depending on what type of butterfly knife you have you may need to lube the moving components up from time to time, and also tighten them up as well.

I have been a collector of butterfly knives for over 20 years now so I have a little experience in proper knife care, and also maintenance. I have tried to use one of my old cheap butterfly knives for hunting, and that did not work out so well. I ended up breaking it, and never got to skin my animal with it. I guess I should have stuck to using it for fishing and things like that. Good thing I was with some buddies who were experienced hunters and they were able to help a brother out and skin my animal for me. Butterfly knifes are fun to collect, and if you have never owned one before make sure you practice opening and closing it. I have done some damage trying to be cool and think I could do it fast, not the safest way to do that. Have someone who knows what there doing show you the proper way or you can go to youtube and find 1000 of video showing how to do it the right way.
